Supported my husband's military career. The military gave the family the opportunity to travel around the world for 22 years. We settled in North Carolina in 2001, after my husband retired from the Army.
I purchased a building in 2005, renovated it into an Orthodontic office and it led to a second office in 2015. I managed both of these offices for over 20 years.
We have two children and four grandchildren.
School Story
Cindy Cox Dunham and I were Freshmen and needed a ride home from school. We didn't want to wait for my brother, Gregg, who was a year ahead of me to finish football practice. So Cindy talked me into getting his keys to his car and driving home. I had never driven before. We went to the boy's locker room and sweet talked some football players to let us in to get to his locker to get his keys. We somehow got his car started and drove away. I wish I could have seen my brother's face as the car drove away. Cindy and I laughed all of the way home because I drove very slow and kept stepping on the brakes which jerked us around a lot.
